Shouldn’t it be easier trying to conceive the second or third time around? You would think so. But in reality, this is often what brings couples into our office for their first visit. Secondary Infertility is very common. When a woman is trying to get pregnant for the second or third time, she is older than she was trying to conceive baby #1.

If she is also over age 35 now, this makes a big difference. Back to that old biological clock… As a woman ages, her egg quality & quantity decline (much more so the closer she gets to age 40). Lifestyle changes can also impact fertility.

Make an appointment if you’ve been trying to conceive for more than 6 months and are over age 35, or under age 35 and have been trying to conceive for over a year. We’ll check out your tubes, uterus, hormones, and do a semen analysis for your husband/partner.

Don’t give up hope. The good news is, you’ve been pregnant before. Your body may just need a little help this time
