Sonya Callaway, RN
Sonya is originally from eastern North Carolina. She attended ECU and received her first BS in English and dedicated 12 years to the NC Public School System. Sonya is married to John, her college sweetheart, and they have two children now in college. After 9/11, John was deployed multiple times, and Sonya felt a calling to return to college to pursue a nursing degree, specifically to become a Labor and Delivery RN. She graduated in May 2007 from ECU with her BSN and has worked in the triangle as a Labor and Delivery and Women’s Health RN for the past 13 years.
Sonya started working at Carolina Conceptions in February 2019, and she especially loves working each day with patients in the clinic and teaching IVF classes. She still works per diem in the hospital as a Labor and Delivery RN, and she finds it very rewarding to see the fertility journey from conception to childbirth.
