Khalied Kaskar, PhD, HCLD/CC is an accomplished embryologist and laboratory director with more than three decades of experience advancing clinical embryology, andrology, and IVF laboratory leadership. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Physiology from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa, where he also lectured part-time and worked at the University of Stellenbosch and Tygerberg Hospital.
Dr. Kaskar went on to hold leadership roles at the Family Fertility Center at Texas Children’s Hospital, ultimately serving as IVF Laboratory Director and Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. During this time, he completed his PhD in Medical Bioscience and earned High-Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) and Clinical Consultant (CC) certifications from the American Board of Bioanalysis. He would also go on to serve as the Laboratory Director for Ovation Fertility in the Austin and San Antonio areas before joining Carolina Conceptions Fertility.
Dr. Kaskar continues to go above and beyond in his dedication to the field of reproductive science through his contributions as a scientific advisor for Filial Health, a key opinion leader for Vitrolife Group, and a as a reviewer for several scientific journals. His scientific contributions span more than 25 peer-reviewed publications and over 150 research abstracts presented at national and international conferences, underscoring his long-standing impact on reproductive science and laboratory innovation. His service on the Legislative Committee of the College of Reproductive Biology and current role serving on the Credentialing and Membership committee has established Dr. Kaskar as a respected leader among his peers.
