Sarah Yon, MSN, FNP-BC, earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Georgia State University in 2007. As a critical care registered nurse, she worked in cardiothoracic surgery and surgical trauma intensive care units at several major academic medical centers before attending Georgetown University. She earned her Master of Science in nursing there, graduating with honors in 2013. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Before joining Carolina Conceptions, Sarah was employed as a nurse practitioner (NP) working with orthopedic, hand, burn and plastic/reconstructive surgery patients for over seven years. She had the privilege of working with breast cancer patients throughout their reconstructive journey and was drawn to the care of women and their families.
Sarah has volunteered as a student nurse in Oaxaca, Mexico, and was a donor-relations volunteer for Mother’s Milk Bank while living in Colorado. She is thrilled to join the Carolina Conceptions team in Wilmington and is passionate about helping others struggling with fertility to build a healthy family.
